We can’t get enough of this pink sensation. Just make sure only to buy the wild-caught variety. If you’re not a fan, let us change your mind. Salmon has been praised as ‘the best of all fish. But it’s for a good reason, seeing as it’s one of the best protein sources.

Now, what’s wrong with framed salmon? Well, it’s usually grown in pens exposed to parasites and disease, and then they’re treated with antibiotics.

Compared to farmed, wild-caught salmon tends to be a bit less in fat, says the Washington State Department of Health, while being slightly higher in vitamins, protein, and minerals.

So, whenever you can: choose wild. And bear in mind that the farming process causes pollution as well.
