When was the last time you had a “heart-to-heart” with YOUR cardiologist?

According to cardiologists, our diet plays a significant role in our heart health, depending on what foods we eat daily.

To have the best health possible, the American Heart Association recommends that we eat a healthy diet that includes vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, nuts, animal protein, and fish.

You might not have known this, but the foods we eat have a direct effect on our blood pressure.

And while high blood pressure, obesity, and high cholesterol are all risk factors for getting heart disease, cardiologists say that consuming a diet low in saturated fat and high in fiber can greatly lower your risk for heart disease.
