3. Fried foods
Fried chicken and french fries are some of the favorites among Americans, but unfortunately, they are also some of the worst foods ever. They taste great, but in the end, the levels of saturated fats will impact your blood cholesterol in a negative way.
Of all your diet, saturated fats should be only 5 to 6% per day, meaning of the recommended daily calorie intake of 2000 calories, only 120 of them can be saturated fats. And is not because we say so but because the American Heart Association recommends it.
What can you do about this? Well, instead of fries, next time you are at a restaurant, you can try to order a salad as a side dish. We know you can’t compare it to the fries, but in the end, being healthy is more important, and avoiding the worst foods is one of the most important steps you can take.
Now, it’s not like you can’t eat some good French fries ever again. The key is moderation. You can indulge yourself from time to time, and things will be alright.
Also, if you have an air fryer at home, go ahead and use it. Really! It’s incredibly efficient, and you will use no oil. Is a great cooking method for any conscious person.
