According to a study led by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), acrylamide is carcinogenic in rats. Later, a study from 2020 showed that acrylamide affects the DNA and causes cell death.

Acrylamide is the only carcinogen compound that can be found in fast food. There are many more things that you can consume while eating ice cream, burgers, or sugary drinks.
