Avocados
Avocados are extremely nutritious, tasty, and unique.
They are packed with monounsaturated fats, which are great for your heart, as well as antioxidants, vitamin C, fiber, pantothenic acid, folate, and vitamins K and B6. And, of course, avocados are also high in potassium: one cup of mashed avocado boasts 1,120 mg of this wonderful mineral.
Studies have shown that including avocados in your diet is associated with better diet quality, lower body weight, BMI, waist circumference, and a lower risk of metabolic syndrome.
You can either pair them with eggs for a healthy breakfast, have them in a smoothie, or mash them for a delicious guacamole.
