Parsnips
Not a lot of us use parsnips in our dishes, but there are a few that call for them. Yet, parsnips contain a threat that not many are aware of: psoralens is a chemical that appears naturally in parsnips, and it’s something all of them contain. The reason why animals aren’t eating them as often as one may think is that they can actually cause a genetic mutation when exposed to ultraviolet lights.
The sad news is that this chemical cannot be removed by means of normal cooking, and likewise, with the poisonous mushrooms, researchers have a suspicion that they may be poisonous to humans as well.

I’m certain you can buy these produce if they have the Organic Label! I’ve been eating most of these for over 10 years without any problem.
I’m so frustrated by conflicting information about which foods I should and shouldn’t eat. I’ve tried cutting out various ones with no impact on or improvement in my health.
