Depression And Fatigue
Depression is another example of an early external sign that might be more obvious than the internal impacts of chronic inflammation. And so is fatigue, for that matter. Chronic inflammation can undoubtedly affect your energy levels and the way you feel on a daily basis.
You Should: Choose Your Oils Wisely
Most oils like corn, sunflower, safflower, soy, cottonseed, and many salad dressings are rich sources of omega-6 fatty acids.
Although you need many of these for the normal function of tissues, in large quantities, they can trigger the body’s production of pro-inflammatory compounds. Most of us already get enough omega-6s, so you shouldn’t worry about having to add these to your meals.
What you’re probably lacking in, though, are those omega-3 fatty acids, which can be found in olive, canola, and flaxseed oils. For cooking, try to pick olive or canola oil over vegetable oil and drizzle some flaxseed oil over cooked vegetables.
You can even eat whole flaxseed or chia seeds as an alternative.
