7. Orange Peel
The next time you eat an orange, don’t throw away the peel, because it’s actually one of the most delicious foods you could pickle. You might not see this delish food in America because it’s quite rare, but if you travel around South India, you’ll be amazed by the taste of pickled orange peel.
Not only do you get plenty of vitamins and minerals from the peel, but you’ll also make your food taste better, especially your plain and boring rice.
8. Shrimp
It’s such a shame that you can’t find pickled shrimp in many parts of the country other than the Southern states because this food is one of the best!
I personally don’t like the taste of shrimp, but I love the pickled ones. These brined crustaceans are amazing for salads, pasta, French fries, and other fish, with veggies, or simply plain as a snack.
