Yikes! 6 Signs You’re Eating Pre-Made Food at a Restaurant

#2 If the Menu Boasts an Extensive List of Options, Some of It May Be Pre-Made

Let’s say that you enter this high-end restaurant, open up the menu and see so many choices that it makes you wonder how is it even possible for the chefs to manage cooking all of this food. Well, the answer is simple: the food is probably pre-made and all they have to do is to reheat it for you.

It’s important to keep in mind that, especially if the menu features a diverse selection of foods, it’s not always possible for a chef to make every dish from scratch while cooking for a large number of guests. Chefs may use already-made foods that are simple to reheat or assemble quickly in order to meet the high demand. As a result, the dish might not have the same flavor or texture as one that was freshly prepared and made to order.

When presented with a menu that offers pages and pages of options, it is worthwhile to think about trying a different restaurant that might have a more specialized menu. You’ll have a better chance of receiving a freshly prepared dinner if you do this.

Or, if you want to remain, be prepared to maybe consume food that has been prepared in advance and might not be as fresh as a dish that has been created to order. Always check with the server as to whether the meal you are ordering is cooked fresh.
