5. Butter
Let’s say that you go to Costco and find an incredible sale for some high-quality butter. What are we going to do now? You want to buy some butter to have it for later, but you are afraid it will go bad. There is no need to worry about that because, guess what? You can freeze butter. Yes, butter freezes very well, and you can keep it for up to nine months.
All you have to do is place the butter in a freezer-safe bag, and you are done. Remember that there is no need to take the butter out of its paper covering. Simply leave it in there and dry it with a paper towel before putting it in the freezer.
When you want to use the butter, you will need to thaw it first. In order to do that, you can microwave a jar half-filled with water, pour the water out of it after one minute, and place the jar over the stick of butter. Leave it there until your butter starts to defrost.
