2. Avocados

It might sound a little unusual when we say that you can store avocados in the freezer, but believe us when we say that this may be the best method to preserve them for longer periods of time.

Avocados are amazing and full of nutrients, but sometimes it is hard to store them, especially when they ripen all at the same time. But what can you do to avoid this? The easiest way to make sure that your avocados don’t spoil is to put them in the freezer. Now you can always have your avocado stash.

If you want to try this trick, there are several methods you can use. The first one is to freeze the whole avocado. Simply place a few avocados in a zip-lock bag and store them in the freezer. Remember to wash them before doing this.

In case you want to use them for salads and various sandwiches, you can freeze them in slices or chunks. This will make your work easier. And the last method is to mash the avocados and put the resulting puree in a bag. The mashed version lasts longer in the freezer than the other two. Expect to enjoy your frozen avocados for 4 to 6 months.
