#1 Eggs

If you made scrambled eggs for the whole family and they got cold while you were buttering the toast or doing something else, it’s fine to microwave them for a minute or two. Yet, the FDA (the Food and Drug Administration) advises strongly against reheating eggs that have been sitting outside for too long, and this means dishes that are egg-based as well!

Most, if not all, eggs contain salmonella, and if they’re not cooked for a long time, the bacteria is not going to be killed. Moreover, any egg dishes or cooked eggs that you have left outside to cool for more than a few minutes or a few hours create the perfect breeding ground for the bacteria to multiply. This leaves you with leftovers that are very likely to make you sick.

You shouldn’t be reheating and eating as leftovers any sort of egg dish, but especially casseroles that have been served at parties or even a quiche slice you brought back from the restaurant for tomorrow’s lunch. Unless you want to risk getting food poisoning, that is. Not to mention, reheated eggs are never as good as fresh ones.
