About Us

Who we are, what we cover and how every story is researched and checked.

Last updated

Nutrition in USA is a food and health publication for American kitchens. We explain what food does for your body, share recipes that are good for you and still worth cooking, and pass on practical tips for shopping, storing and cooking on a normal budget. We have been publishing since January 2022.

What we cover

  • Health: how nutrients, foods and eating habits affect energy, digestion, heart health, blood sugar and everyday wellbeing, explained in plain language.
  • Recipes: weeknight dinners, breakfasts, soups and snacks built around whole foods, with notes on why the ingredients earn their place.
  • Tips: grocery shopping, pantry staples, food safety, storage and kitchen habits that save money and reduce waste.

Who we are

The site is written and run by our editorial team. We publish as a team rather than under individual bylines, and every article goes through the same process before it is published. Nutrition in USA is published by Inedit Agency S.R.L., an independent digital publisher based in Bucharest, Romania, which runs a small group of consumer websites.

How we work

We build our articles on public health sources such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and its FoodData Central database, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and peer-reviewed research. Articles are drafted with AI assistance and then reviewed, edited and fact-checked by our editorial team before they go live. We revisit older articles when the guidance changes. You can read the details in our Editorial Policy.

What we are not

We are not a medical provider, and nothing on this site is medical advice. Our articles are general information to help you understand food and make better everyday choices. If you have a health condition, are pregnant, take medication or are thinking about a major change to your diet, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian first. See our Disclaimer.

How the site is funded

Nutrition in USA is free to read. It is paid for by display advertising and by affiliate links, including the Amazon Associates program. Advertisers have no say in what we write. Our Advertiser Disclosure explains how this works.
