#5 Give up when it comes to a huge amount of patties!
As a general rule, most Americans do not suffer from protein deficiency, especially if they are not on a vegan or vegetarian diet. An average adult needs between 60 and 80 grams of protein each day in order to stay healthy, and this averages out at about 21 grams of protein per meal! However, when you take into consideration that most fast food places have a lot of choices that have a lot of patties, the protein intake is going to be way bigger than one person would need for one meal.
For example, a Burger King‘s Whopper Sandwich has about 28 grams of protein, which is just fine when we look at the numbers. Yet, if you are a fan of the Double Whopper, then know that this goes up to about 48 grams, and the Triple has about 68 grams of protein! This is a bit too much when it comes to how long you are waiting for one meal.
A better alternative would be to go for the single flame-broiled hamburger or just the simple Whopper so that you do not exceed the protein intake at a fast food place like Burger King!
