Does your plate look healthy?
A healthy diet should be anyone’s lifestyle, especially after a certain age when everything becomes a teensy bit rusty. Most of us eat insufficient portions at meals (especially large ones) and we end up snacking excessively because we didn’t get enough healthy carbs and proteins to feel satiated.
But the good news is that there are some superfoods that are nutritionally balanced, convenient for us to include in our daily meals, and which have a lot of benefits for our well-being. And they won’t wreak havoc on your budget! Let’s go over some pointers to help you fill your plate with healthy but delicious foods.
1. Green Tea
My grandma used to ask me all the time in the morning “would you like a cup of tea?” In my case, the answer was always yes. Besides the fact that green tea tastes delicious, it also has plenty of health benefits. If you suffer from constipation, drinking one big cup of green tea first thing in the morning on an empty stomach might help you.
Furthermore, it has been proven that green tea is also packed with vitamins and nutrients and is a healthy way to boost your metabolism. Make a habit of drinking one or two cups a day with a bit of lemon or honey, depending on what your preference is.
