Deli Meats
One of America’s…and probably the rest of the world’s favorite lunches is the good ole’ deli meat sandwich. It’s effortless, fast to make, and always mouthwatering. But even though deli meats have been preserved, they don’t really have a super-long shelf life.
These types of sandwich meats should be eaten within three to five days after opening the package, and cured meats, like prosciutto, should be eaten within a two to three weeks time frame.
If you’ve preserved meats beyond those time frames, you should toss them in the trash immediately. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, right?
