5. Squash and pumpkins with apples and pears

With autumn just around the corner, it’s impossible not to notice that farmers are already putting squash and pumpkins on display! And while they look so cute, you want to take them all home. Before doing that, you might want to know some important storage rules. If you want to keep them fresh for a longer time, avoid putting them together with apples and pears.

The squash will turn yellow and spoil as a result of this. The ideal storage temperature for squash and pumpkins is between 10 and 13 degrees Celsius, which is lower than room temperature but not quite as frigid as the refrigerator. However, keep an eye on the small pumpkins because, compared to the bigger ones, they last only three months.
