Cruciferous Vegetables
Cabbage, broccoli, bok choy, and Brussels sprouts, and any other cruciferous veggies also contain vast amounts of sulfur. Much of the evidence for cruciferous vegetables that promotes foul body odor through your sweat, breath, or flatulence is anecdotal.
However, there’s a strong argument for eating these foods anyway. They have a lot of fiber and contain plenty of vitamins C, E, and K, beta-carotene, and folate.
Besides being good for your overall health, there’s some evidence they might also help prevent certain kinds of cancer.
Asparagus
Blame the sulfur compound mercaptan in asparagus that makes your urine smell funny. The scent is created when the body breaks down mercaptan in your digestive system. The result varies from person to person.
But if you happen to be one of those individuals whose urine doesn’t smell after eating this veggie, it’s because your body doesn’t possess the enzyme to break down the mercaptan. To avoid that asparagus funk, you should try an alternative, like roasted or grilled bell peppers.
