2. Track the sodium consumption every day
How can you reduce your salt intake if you don’t know how much of it you consume daily? If you’re eating the same things every day, it’s easier to do that, especially if you cook your meals at home.
So you can obtain a decent average of your sodium consumption if you just keep note of how much sodium you eat over two days during the week and the weekend in a food diary.
You may make adjustments that meet your health objectives if you are aware of how frequently you consume salty foods. For instance, the soup you often consume for lunchtime has half of your recommended daily intake of salt.
Reduce your salt intake by choosing a dish with less salt, such as a salad, or opt for a soup with less sodium which can be also tasty and leave you satiated.
