7. Reduce salty foods

With the risk of sounding redundant, one of the most important rules you have to follow if you want to reduce your salt intake is to simply avoid or reduce salty foods as much as possible. Foods like pickles, olives, chips, microwave popcorn, canned soups, and soy sauce are among the unhealthier ones.

While eating artificially produced foods while binge-watching a movie or television show might be fun, consider making your snack instead. Three of the healthiest snacks include baked veggie chips, homemade popcorn, and carrots with hummus. And they taste good too!
