They improve your cholesterol and DON’T increase your risk of heart disease
We already knew about the health benefits of eggs. But many people have been alerted regarding eggs mainly because one egg contains roughly 212 mg of cholesterol compared to most other foods.
However, dietary sources of cholesterol have a small effect on cholesterol levels in the blood. Your liver is the one that produces cholesterol every day. The amount depends on how much you eat.
If you get most of your cholesterol from food, your liver will produce less. If you don’t eat cholesterol, your liver produces more.
And in fact, research shows that eggs improve your cholesterol profile. They raise the “good” cholesterol and tend to change the “bad” cholesterol to a giant subtype that isn’t as deeply associated with an increased risk of heart disease.
