6. Your stomach is not okay
Generally, experts recommend a maximum of 1,500 mg of sodium daily, but when you go over the top and your sodium levels are higher than normal, your stomach will feel all those side effects.
Besides dehydration and being uncomfortable, you might also experience nausea and diarrhea. If you’ve been experiencing abdominal discomfort or cramping, you should drastically reduce your salt intake as soon as possible. Don’t forget about drinking plenty of water to feel better and rehydrate your cells!
