Breakfast is also vital in maintaining a healthy weight, which is imperative for healthy living and decreasing cancer risk. Research has even shown that people who are successful at keeping a healthy weight eat breakfast daily. It’s the meal that tells your body the day has begun.
When you go to bed at night, your body’s metabolism slows down and won’t speed back up until you have that first meal. A healthy cancer-fighting breakfast should consist of 3-4 different food groups. But we’ll get into more of that in a bit.
