#1 Red meat

You may be tempted when you have to eat a burger to go for the juiciest one, but in the end, that is not going to be a good idea for your colon. Research has shown that having a regular diet of red meats (which include beef, lamb, and pork) is going to increase your risk of developing colon cancer and other types of colorectal cancer.

The reason for that may be the meat itself, or it could be that the cancerous substances end up forming when the meat is treated and cooked at high temperatures. However, there is no need to panic. This only happens if you have a habit of eating red meat all the time. If you consume less than 18 ounces a week, you should be fine.

Like with most substances and foods, everything needs to be consumed in moderation!
