Banana nutrition

Let’s discuss the basics first. One banana has 105 calories, 1 g of protein, no fat, and 27 grams of carbohydrates. Also, you’ll get 3 grams of fiber, which is no less than the 11% recommended daily value, 422 milligrams of potassium, 10 milligrams of vitamin C, and 0.4 milligrams of vitamin B6.

This fruit is mostly recommended for its potassium intake, but it is also a great source of fiber, vitamin C, and vitamin B6. Potassium plays a huge role in keeping your fluid balance, but also regulating your blood pressure.

In fact, fiber and vitamin C are highly regarded for their own impacts on digestive, cardiovascular, and immune health. Vitamin B6 is needed in hundreds of enzyme reactions, but also in protein metabolism.

  1. I AM A DIABETIC, I EAT BANANAS FREQUENTLY. THIS WONDERFUL FRUIT WAS CREATED BY THE LORD GOD HIMSELF FOR OUR ENJOYMENT AND CONSUMPTION. THEREFORE I TAKE EVERYTHING IN STRIDE AND LEAN ON THE IMPRESSIONS I FEEL IN MY SPIRIT. FOR ME, CONTRARY TO WHAT “NEW” SCIENCE SAYS, I WILL HARDLY CONTINUE TO EAT GOOD FRESH BANANAS WITH FULL CONFIDENCE THAT THEY DO SOMETHING TO IMPROVE MY WELL-BEING. THANK YOU.

    1. John, I think you mean you will HEARTILY CONTINUE TO EAT BANANAS, NOT HARDLY…Spellchecker not always helpful! Lol Enjoy those delicious bananas.

  2. I was told that bananas are not good for me because I’m a diabetic, but I need to eat them or the potassium in them. I have bone narrowing problems and bananas helps with that. so, I have my cake and eat it too.
