Breakfast bars
There are many types of breakfast bars on the market, from granola to cereal and oat bars. However, the vast majority of these are ultra-processed and loaded with sugars, which doesn’t make them a good choice for a healthy breakfast.
Processed meats
Technically, most breakfast meats are highly processed, whether it’s bacon, sausage, and ham. They’re also full of salt, which increases blood pressure in most salt-sensitive individuals. They also have other additives such as nitrites, which could increase the risk of cancer. However, more research is expected in this field, as scientists didn’t manage to fully understand exactly how processed meat intake could affect cancer risk.
