You heard many times that sugar is one of the worst enemies of your body, and due to that, many people started drinking and eating things that contain sweeteners, thinking that this ingredient is friendlier with their weight loss and health goals.

WRONG! Sweeteners are one of the most terrible things you could feed your body with, and before you know it, you’ll notice a weak immune system that won’t serve you any good, especially in the colder season.

Researchers discovered that artificial sweeteners, such as saccharin and sucralose, can create dangerous bacteria imbalances, which can further lead to autoimmune diseases.

Besides a weak immune system, these artificial sweeteners won’t save your body from chemicals or calories. A chocolate bar that has no sugar but sucralose contains just as many calories as a regular chocolate bar that is full of sugar.

Consuming artificial sweeteners can also trigger your brain into thinking that you need more to be satisfied, so you’ll be tempted to consume more foods and drinks that are high in sweeteners.

So if you want to indulge in something sweet, you can either get the real thing and eat it in moderation, or you can put your apron on and cook it for yourself using real and healthy ingredients.
