Blueberries
This favorite jam ingredient contains a crucial part of bowel health: pectin. It is a type of soluble fiber that makes those cooked foods gel up as they cool.

Strawberries are also a great option that contains pectin, which stimulates bowel movements and adds volume to your stools.

Apples
Both the fruit and juice of this delicious snack work as natural laxatives and help reduce the time you spend in the bathroom each morning. Apples especially, are rich in digestive fiber, which helps to soften wastes.

Pro Tip: Eat 1 to 2 apples each day to keep your digestive system on track, skin included. Freshly squeezed apple juice is also an option, but we recommend going organic.
