Energy drinks
There’s no doubt that indulging in an energy drink might help you feel more pumped in the short term, but it’s not the smartest idea. Multiple studies suggest that these types of drinks, in addition to lowering tiredness, might increase focus and memory retention by around 24%.
Researchers say that these beverages contain a lot of sugar (up to 10 teaspoons) and caffeine, and they will impact your body in the same way sweet treats do.
This means that you’ll be very pumped for some time after consuming that beverage, but you’ll also experience a dramatic crash afterward, leaving you feeling even more exhausted than before.
It has also been shown that energy drinks might have a negative impact on sleep, both in terms of quantity and quality. Don’t forget that these beverages also come with plenty of side effects, including irritability, insomnia, and even heart palpitations.
…When you’re feeling tired, drink a glass of room-temperature water, and you’ll notice that you’ll feel better instantly!

My wife is Korean and has eaten short-grain white rice every day of her life since the age of 3. She’s over 60 now and is almost as active and energetic as she was when she was 30 (she owns and operates her own business, which requires a good deal of physical and mental effort). If you sit around and do nothing most of the time, then rice can be bad for you, but so can avocados and prune juice.
