2. American India Pale Ale (Stone Ipa)

Whenever we mention IPAs, we instantly think about the well-known brewery, Stone. And with a reason! Since 1996, when they first appeared on the market, they have never stopped producing tasty beers. If you’re from California, you probably drink it more often, and then you’re indeed a lucky person!

This style of beer called American Indian Pale Ale has its origins in the British version of the IPA. Only the hops used are different. In most cases, these types of beers are a tad bitterer than, for example, lagers, even if they’re mostly made with Citra hops that give the beer the floral character but also a citrusy taste that resembles peach, grapefruit, and lime.

Being moderately strong at around 5-7% alcohol, IPAs are extremely easy to drink. Packed with more antioxidants compared to other beers on our list, according to various scientists, IPAs can help against dementia and other cognitive diseases, but only if they’re drunk in moderation. Most IPAs (both Sierra Nevada and the ones under Stone’s signature) have less than 200 calories per bottle. I’d say that’s pretty decent for a craft beer.
