Canned and frozen lentils

Plant-based protein is all over the place these days, and we can clearly see why. Plant foods such as lentils will not only offer you tons of protein, but they will also stock up on fiber, folate, magnesium, manganese, and various other important nutrients.

Luckily, you don’t even have to do the work of soaking and boiling them in order to get those excellent nutritional values. Canned and frozen lentils are just as good for your health as dried ones.

So when it comes to processed foods that are good for you, sure, add lentils to the list. They are highly versatile, and you can eat them either cold or hot. It’s up to you.

Yogurt

While the majority of people wouldn’t even think that yogurt is processed, we’re sitting here trying to explain that even if it is, it’s still super healthy. I mean, just think about it: the process of turning cow’s milk into a thick and creamy dairy treat takes some time, temperature, and added bacterial cultures.

The good news is that all these steps don’t really alter the healthfulness of this food. After all, yogurt is a great source of protein, calcium, vitamin B1, and probiotics that can easily sustain proper digestive and immune health. However, if you want to go for the healthiest and least processed yogurt, just buy the lower-sugar versions.
