2. The Chicken Pot Pie (KFC)

Hmmmm, chicken pot pie. This one doesn’t sound all that bad, does it? Well, you are somehow right. The chicken pot pie is one of the least dangerous food items on this list.

But you should know that while your average chicken pot pie has just under 600 calories, KFC’s Chicken Pot Pie has almost 800 calories, more precisely 790. But why are there so many calories in the KFC version? The filling is really caloric because it has a lot of cream, but another caloric component of this pot pie is its buttery pastry crust.

Another thing we think you should know about KFC’s Chicken Pot Pie is that eating one will consume the majority of your daily fat allowance. Normally, people should eat a maximum of 66 grams of fat per day, and the pot pie has 41 grams of fat.

So, even if it’s not the most unhealthy option on this list, we still recommend that you avoid this fast food item since it contains so much fat.

  1. While I do agree with all of these “no-no’s,” I have to put in my own 2-cents’ worth. Twice a month, I order a Whopper from Burger King. Actually, it is a cheese burger… but nothing “double,” I didn’t even know that was an option. But I order the Whopper with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise. That said, I never eat it all in one day. I eat approximately half, and save the rest (in the fridge, to be microwaved) the next day. As for what else I eat, in addition to that, well… very little, actually. Except for that Whopper, I eat ONLY organic foods, bought at an all-organic market. That Whopper is my one indulgence. I do wish that articles about the sins of fast foods would offer the suggestion of eating only half, or a third, or even a quarter (in the case of some of those subs), in which case they wouldn’t be as unhealthy as claimed. Just sayin’…
