7 Important Things Fast-Food Employees Never Tell You

#4 The food timer and cabinet

It may sound weird, but there is actually a timer for some food items. Employees say that after something is cooked, they have to add it to a cabinet (think of it as a large food storage container for restaurants) and turn on a timer. Once the time has run out, they should be throwing away that food because it is no longer fresh enough to be used in the products.

However, as we have seen the pattern go, people don’t still follow this rule. Sometimes those items are just reheated as needed when they are put in the sandwiches.

To avoid getting the reheated cabinet food, go to a fast food joint (or order from one) between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., or in the evening between 6 and 8! Those are the busiest times, and that’s when you will be getting freshly made food. It may not be the healthiest choice, but it would be the freshest version of it!
