2. Lentils

If we are talking about plant-based protein, there are many options out there, but one of our favorites is lentils. They are versatile legumes that you can use to cook delicious comfort food.

And the best part about them is that for a cup of cooked lentils, you will get up to 20 grams of protein. Usually, the values are between 18 and 20 grams.

Lentils are, for sure, one of the perfect protein sources, even if they don’t have the methionine amino acid. Hopefully, if you decide to pair them with some rice, you will transform them into a competitive protein that has everything you need.

But this amazing food is not only rich in protein; lentils also have a huge amount of fiber and iron. They are beneficial for your cardiometabolic health, and they are great at preventing cardiovascular problems.
