  1. So are you saying products not on the list are good? The lack of Coke products makes me think they sponsored the article.

I use Coke to clean the acid build up on the cables that connect to my car battery. That way I don’t have to worry about my car battery going dead!!!

      2. And it’s great for boiling rust off metal parts. Ugh just think what it does to the lining of the stomach😩

      3. That is the beauty of coke, it cleans your whole insides out.
It’s great for an upset stomach. I have been drinking coke for years
and not once have I had a problem with it. Now talk to me about all
those diet crap of sodas. I have heard for years all diet sodas are the
worst things you can drink. I have seen so many end up with cancer
and one huge thing in common they had was they drank
diet soda. One of my doctors told me if you have to drink
        any soda. drink reg soda.
I have also changed from drinking a lot of soda to seltzer, it has no salt
in it and you can add any kind of flavor to it and stay healthy. Like
you can put some lemon juice and slices of lemon to it and maybe a
lime and there you go, you now have 7-up.

    1. Did you read them all I think they pretty much got them ALL The comminutes are saying Coke mostly And yes i do use coke to clean my battery post if i find a can with some left in it

    2. I think you are making some great points….no Coke products? Are there any sodas that are good for us? Maybe Olipop…but who knows

    3. Christopher E Logan

I used to drink two quart glass bottles per day. One around 10 am and one in commuter traffic on hwy 17 coming home in the afternoon

    1. Indeed. Why not mention of the worst ingredient; high fructose corn syrup! It’s also the main ingredient in all sodas, including coke products, with few exceptions.

    1. Diet sodas often get their sweetness from dubious artificial sweeteners. As far as I know the evidence is not conclusive but it points in the direction that some of these artificial sweeteners may contribute to developing cancer.

    2. But I always hear “diet” soft drinks are worse than regular soft drinks. It would have been nice if they would have told us what to substitute .

    3. Indeed, many diet sodas contain the artificial sweetener Aspartame, which has been linked to cancer. I’ll take my chances with sugar and corn syrup (both in moderation, of course), thanks.

  2. perry lewis lewis

well they say if it tastes good throw it away and eat the wrapper same thing with drinks life is short enough we have to enjoy something

  3. I saw the comments and while I don’t drink any sodas I did check cokes ingredients online and it has almost half the amount of sugar so it would be a better choice. It still has 29g carbs and 29g sugar!!!

  4. Great, I’m so relieved I can drink Coke now as if there’s no tomorrow!! Thanks, I knew it Pepsi was the one to blame!!!

    1. Try Young Living product called Zyng. 8.28 oz. can.
Has some sugar, some stevia; 35 calories. No HFCS. No caffeine. Has various fruit juices.
Just had a can. I don’t believe any soda is perfectly healthy, but I think this one is one of the least harmful.

  5. One thing about factory manufactured soft drinks is that they are all given scientific anaalysis for integrity whereas much of the ‘water’ Americans drink is filled with unacceptable levels of contaminates.

  6. This person knows very little, or they’re covering up the high fructose corn syrup facts. It’s the worst part of any soda.

  7. I thought Diet Pepsi was very refreshing when I worked a very hot job. But, I grew up seeing Dr Pepper commercials all over, and their motto was, “10, 2, and 4. I assume that’s when they think you need to take a break and enjoy one.
A 10-oz bottle of ‘Dr Pepper with a package of Planter’s salted peanuts dumped into it, was the perfect grammar school recess snack.
Sorry, not buying that I should stop my Dr Pepper 7 oz poured over ice at 10 and 2. It’s my guilty pleasure.

  8. My grandmother in law drank a Pepsi everyday her entire adult life and lived to be 93. I’ve seen heathy people die in their 20 from disease so do some more faulty research that leaves certain companies out

  9. I drink water most of the time. As far as I’m concerned soda, fake sugar and hi fructose is a bad thing. But what about the sugar in fruits? Juice is no good for you either really. The American diet is why there is so much obesity. Yet the price for healthier alternatives is astronomical. Just an observation.

  10. I love diet Pepsi. I’m 78 and still teaching first grade in a public school. I remember everything and can easily break down skills for my students.

  11. Regular Pepsi is my drug of choice.
No, seriously. Max of 2 12oz cans a day.
A few times in the Navy, I had like 8 cans in 1 day. 🤣

  12. I only drink cafine sodas, orange, root beer & ginger ale. Plus thry are just the small 7oz cans. Usually around 9 I have my ginger ale. Rest of that time is water & a glass of ice tea w dinner. I try to behave

  13. I’m 80 so pop hasn’t shortened my life too much. By the way, eating sugar does not cause diabetes. Pop will make you fatter if you drink too much. Sugar also raises triglycerides. I have to say I’ve gotten bored with soda (tonic if you are from northern New England) and no limit myself to small cans and no more than 5 per week.

As to obesity, it’s not just a problem here, it’s in Europe as well. Ever notice how many health care workers are overweight.

  14. There was a woman not long ago at a nursing home celebrating her 104th birthday. Newsmedia came and asked her what she thought was the secret of her longevity. She replied she drinks Dr. Pepper three times a day.

  15. At the top of your list was Pepsi. My father’s favorite. He drank it daily thruout his life, either that or coffee. He got kidney cancer around age 63 and those with kidney disease should NOT drink sodas, no. He continued anyway, in spite of the dangers or risks, but I’m not sure he was even made aware. Family bought him sodas daily. He lived another 25 years or so, shocking, with one remaining kidney containing cancer as well. I don’t know how he survived that long, esp. with drinking sodas as he did which is a real no-no for kidney patients (I am one as well now), but perhaps there is some info to take from my father’s experience? Are some people just more susceptible to bodily injury when drinking sodas compared to other folks? How could we even know? Is it just luck? Maybe what it boils down to is just people doing what they feel and accepting the results, circumstances? Look at actress Betty White–who loved hot dogs and some strong booze daily, yet lived healthily and lengthy to almost 100. And look at the other “vice” of smoking…how generations of yore smoked like a smokestack and lived to almost 100 or did or beyond…Bob Hope, Milton Berle, George Burns, and many more. After experiencing the good and the bad happening to those who have taken great care of themselves compared to those who threw caution to the proverbial wind, in the end…I wonder…how much does any of this matter? But I still like to be in the know, yet it’s us alone who ultimately decide what goes into our bodies and what does not.

  16. The servings given are for 20 oz bottles. I usually drink a 12 oz can and drink sugar can sodas no HFCS. Most of the year, I only drink 2-3 a month but when I am working outside in the summer, I will drink no more than one a day, usually about 4 or 5 a week.

  17. I LOVE MYSELF And I don’t want to be a Dibetic person. I stop drinking soda since I was 20 yrs old. Today I am 81 without being Dibetic my father was Dibetic my daughter is Dibetic and drank soda.

  18. I hate these stories pointing out high sugar content is unhealthy causing weigh gain, mean while ignoring foods with artificial coloring, BHA and BHT preservatives already known to cause cancer. I’d rather me fat than have cancer. I can’t wait until RFK Jr bans them in the US, the same American products sold in Europe don’t have these poisons because they’re outlawed over there.

  19. Mountain Dew contains glycol, the same yellow liquid used as antifreeze in car radiators, and then people wonder why cancer is the #1 killer in the US?

  20. There are a variety of healthy drinks to choose from . Let’s start with 100 percent whole fruit juices not made from concentrate followed by 6 to 8 glasses of water per day. I think you just might be ok and by all means try to stay away from foods or drinks that has high fructose corn syrup. Read the ingredients. Do your best to always choose healthy over unhealthy foods and drinks it’s your choice.
